Eclipses: destiny aligning and divine intervening cosmic happenings that occur within long cycles and are not cosmically designed to actualize, to will, to force or to manifest. within these particular windows of time between two eclipses, such as we are now, we feel time bend and circumstances shift by the hour. it’s best to listen and remain still.
April 8th
Solar North Node Eclipse in Aries

You may be wondering why this season isn’t feeling as empowering as was expected. Your fire? It more likely feels put out or burning down the house.
I’ve spent the past month traveling between Portugal and across the United States; Winter has lasted longer than usual. I heard it everywhere I went. The rain, the sharp winds, the snow on the ground; nature is still thawing. Nature is still breaking through. As I said in the Aries Season Horoscope Post, it’s tough being born. And as much as we want to be completely on this “other side”, we find ourselves here. In a room. In a storm. The furniture shifting around, the rug being pulled up, our hair nearly sucked out of a window and our wardrobe vacuumed into the void… The truth is that not everything is yet in place.
A Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon aligns between the Sun and Earth which obstructs or eclipses its light. It’s at this point of the Moons personal rotation that it makes celestial contact with The North Node of Destiny; the Node that drives us forward into discomfort, personal evolution and in greater alignment with our personal unique paths. The paths that we signed up for. The paths designed for our souls.
With both the light of our Solar Self/ego/identity and the light of our Lunar Self/sensing/feeling/private obstructed and working towards and out of this obstruction, we are placed on a sacred pause. The way through is in observation of the hands of fate doing their job - moving us and the pieces within and outside of ourselves around in such a way that the chaos feels divine. The way through is in a committed state of reception, openness, and trust in the unexpected but inescapable change that is for us.
Throughout history eclipses were believed, by many peoples who observed and honored the skies (most non modern peoples), to be an event in which a mythological creature had devoured our cosmic bodies of light.
Eclipses speed up time and increase the likelihood of unexpected events. They teach us flexibility, adaptability, and patience with the unknown and the uncomfortable.
The April 8th North Node New Moon Eclipse in Aries is one of healing. We’re asked to allow a process that reveals our wounds, our doubts, and fears to the greater desires for our lives and our Selves. We’re asked to heal the relationships, the bonds, the connections and mend the ways in which we do connect with others, so we can walk into the future in greater company and becoming greater company to walk with.
